The two-day rock extravaganza took place at the stately home earlier this month and a selection of the best bits will be shown on Channel 4 in the early hours of Saturday.
Following straight on from Russell Brand's Ponderland, 4Music: Sonisphere Festival 2009 will start at 12.10am.
The 65-minute show is packed with raw backstage footage, exclusive interviews and full-on, high-def, multi-camera live performances from some of the biggest names in rock.
Event organisers have already confirmed that Sonisphere will return to Knebworth next year.
The metal fest will take place in late July or early August, with the exact dates to be confirmed in the coming months.
Festival creator Stuart Galbraith said: "We are already talking and planning the route to Sonisphere 2010."
"We haven't got everything right and we didn't promise we would in year one," he said.
"The day we say it's perfect is the day we should give up."
Among the groups already being rumoured as potential headliners are Iron Maiden, Muse, Foo Fighters, Slipknot and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
