Avenged Sevenfold And Alice In Chains For Sonisphere

Sonisphere have confirmed another string of bands for the hard rock festival at Knebworth on August 1-2. Debauched Californian metalheads Avenged Sevenfold and grunge pioneers Alice In Chains are among those announced in the latest unveiling.

Appearing with them will be Machine Head, The Sword and legendary boogie rockers Thin Lizzy. The European-wide travelling festival will also bring Mastodon and Lamb Of God to the UK site.

As previously announced, Linkin Park and Metallica will headline the two day rock extravaganza.

The pressure on Download will continue as newcomer Sonisphere has promised to make more line-up announcements on Wednesday (February 25).
